The Kindred Vikings were No. 1 this week in a tightly compacted top of the N.D. AP Sportscasters and Sportswriters Class B girls basketball poll.
The Vikings had nine of the 23 first-place votes to edge Central Cass for the top spot. The Squirrels had six first-place votes for second with Langdon-Edmore-Munich also getting six for third.
Linton-HMB was fourth and Grafton fifth.
