Hankinson man arrested after alleged death threats

A felony terrorizing charge has been levied against a Hankinson man who authorities say threatened to kill two individuals, resulting in a law enforcement response.

Quincy Donell James is charged in Richland County District Court with terrorizing, a Class C felony, regarding the incidence which occurred April 22 in Hankinson.

Deputies were dispatched following a 911 call detailing a threat made by the defendant. The initial investigation revealed that two people had allegedly been threatened by James.

Authorities say James approached a residence driveway and told one person he was going to kill her. The report also states that he made a similar threat to the person who called 911. Both parties told authorities they feared for their lives.

James is in custody at the Richland County Jail.
