The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team split with Bemidji State University on Wednesday, rallying for a 10-6 win in game two with four runs in the top of the ninth.
The junior tandem of Caden Kappes and Tori Uhlich, former Wahpeton players, each recorded a pair of RBIs in the ninth to ignite a four-run inning.
Redshirt sophomore Jackson Fliflet, also a former Wahpeton player, belted his team-high 14th home run of the season in game one. The slugging catcher is now one homer away from the fourth most in season history for the Golden Eagles.
The Golden Eagles are now 23-18 and 16-13 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, as they charge toward the postseason.
