ESPN.com on Monday listed North Dakota State football coach Matt Entz among the potential targets for Vanderbilt, who fired coach Derek Mason on Sunday.

Entz, in his second season as coach of the Bison, was mentioned in the article on possible replacements. The list also included Indiana coach Tom Allen, Coastal Carolina coach Jamey Chadwell, Louisiana Tech coach Skip Holtz and former NFL coach Jeff Fisher.

Entz and the Bison begin the 2020-21 season in early February after the season’s start was pushed back to the spring due to the pandemic.
