Ober tosses rare complete-game shutout as Twins beat Marlins

Bailey Ober delivered a rarity in modern baseball, tossing a a complete game Tuesday.

The 6-foot-9 righty pitched the Minnesota Twins to a 3-0 win over the Miami Marlins, surrendering just two hits and no walks while striking out seven in the shutout.

Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers belted a two-run homer and lifted his season average to .299. Byron Buxton, Trevor Larnach and Jeffers each scored a run. 

The Twins are back in action Wednesday at 6:40 p.m. for game two of the series.
