A Britton, S.D., man died early Sunday morning near Oakes when the car he was driving rolled and ejected the driver from the vehicle.

Douglas Cavalier, age 33, was traveling eastbound on Highway 11 at what the State Highway Patrol said was a high rate of speed and lost control and entered the ditch.

Cavalier was not wearing his seat belt.

The Highway Patrol said alcohol and drugs were a factor in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
