Redshirt sophomore Jackson Fliflet is having a season for the books, literally. The power-hitting righty leads the University of Minnesota Crookston lineup in several major statistics, moving himself into rare territory among the Golden Eagle greats.

Fliflet, a three-time American Legion Baseball State Champion as a member of Wahpeton Post 20, hit three homers Saturday in a doubleheader split vs. Winona State, bringing his home run total to 17 on the season.

Fliflet tied Brock Reller (2011) for third all-time in single-season homers at UMC, trailing only the 2023 tandem of Mike Hallquist (22) and Jake Hjelle (24).

That’s not the only category in which Fliflet paces the Golden Eagles in 2026.

The catcher leads the team in batting average (.353), OPS (1.254), RBIs (44), slugging percentage (.808), hit-by-pitch (13) and total bases (110).

The Golden Eagles are 24-19 with six regular-season games remaining.
