Davies became the new number one team in 11AAA football while Minot North stayed at the top of 11AA in the latest North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association Polls, released Tuesday.
Losses by three of last week’s top five teams, including defending champion Century, scrambled the 3A poll. Davies, who overwhelmed Minot, earned 18 of the 19 first-place votes, with the other going to second-ranked Legacy. Century fell four spots to number five.
Minot North is again the clear choice at the peak of the 2A rankings. The Sentinels garnered 17 of the 19 first-place votes, with Kindred receiving the other two. Jamestown received votes, but not enough to make the poll.
