The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm softball team put up a fight against No. 6-ranked Hawley on Thursday, April 25, dropping a home doubleheader by scores of 2-0 and 6-3.

The Storm continues to keep games close against Class 2A teams, despite having a 1-6 record to begin the spring season. The team has now lost three games by two or less runs.

Senior ace Mia Dodge had 11 strikeouts and three walks during a complete-game effort to open the doubleheader. In game two, Adi Dodge batted 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Claire Langenwalter and Collynn Hought each singled. Complete statistics were not made available.
