The North Dakota State College of Science basketball teams competed for their respective district championships on Saturday. The Lady Wildcats clinched a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament with a 73-60 road win over Malcolm X College. The Wildcat men couldn’t keep their historic season rolling as they fell at Indian Hills Community College 90-74.

Stats were unavailable for the women’s game. The No. 24 seed Lady Wildcats enter the national tournament with a record of 27-6. They’ll face off with No. 10 seed Eastern Florida State College at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 in Casper, Wyoming.

The Wildcat men were led by Aaron Williams Jr. with 15 off the bench. Calvin Sisk had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the defeat. Despite being ranked No. 20 in the country in the final NJCAA DI poll, the Wildcats did not receive an at-large bid to the national tournament, ending their season with a record of 31-2.
