The Breckenridge Cowgirls (12-9) fell to the Perham Yellowjackets (18-3) for the second time this year by a score of 69-52 Tuesday night at Breckenridge High School. It was the fifth straight loss for the Cowgirls, while Perham has won 13 of its last 14 games.

Parker Yaggie was the lone Cowgirl in double figures with 17 points. Sydni Roberts and Emily Gowin scored eight points each. Piper Jaehning chipped in seven points and five rebounds. Erin Blaufuss added four points and a team-high seven rebounds.

Willow Thiel scored her 2,000th career point in a 34-point outing for the Yellowjackets. According to Minnesota basketball stats guru Matt Pederson, Thiel is the 80th known girls basketball player in state history with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. For the season, Thiel is averaging 29 points and 14 rebounds per game.
