Emily Gowin buried a buzzer-beating triple in the left corner with 1 second remaining to give the Breckenridge Cowgirls a 70-68 road win over Barnesville on Thursday.

The game was knotted up at 32 at halftime and the teams went back and forth in the second. The Cowgirls had a nine-point cushion with a few minutes remaining but the Trojans stormed back. They took the lead off back-to-back putbacks by Ava Follingstad.

Breckenridge inbounded the ball out of a timeout with 6 seconds remaining. Parker Yaggie caught the pass and dribbled to the left side of the court, firing a skip pass to a wide-open Gowin in the left corner for the game winner.

Yaggie and Gowin were each in double figures with 11 and 10, respectively. Two other Cowgirls were also in double digits with Sydni Roberts burying four triples in an 18-point outing and Ava Jaehning led Breckenridge in scoring in the first half with eight of her 11 off the bench.

Abby John led Barnesville with a game-high 23 points and Ava Follingstad turned in a 14-point second half to finish with 17.

Breckenridge is 4-0 and heads to Pelican Rapids for a 7:30 p.m. Tuesday matchup.
