BW Wrestling 

Four Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm wrestlers placed in the annual Dan Unruh Invitational held in Wahpeton on Friday and Saturday. Weston Jensen and David Erlandson finished fourth at 152 and 172 pounds, respectively. 114-pound competitor Tyler Burchill finished fifth and Henry Slettedahl had the same result at 160 pounds. The Storm host a triangular at Breckenridge High School at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Wahpeton Girls Basketball

The Wahpeton girls basketball team opened their first season in Class A as part of the new three-class system with a pair of games in Minot against unfamiliar opponents. The Huskies fell to South Prairie-Max on Friday by a score of 62-
51 and then picked up a 44-22 win on Saturday against Stanley. Scout Woods exploded for 31 points in the season opener. Wahpeton welcomes Kindred to town for their first home game at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Breckenridge Cowgirls Basketball

The Breckenridge Cowgirls won their first conference matchup with a 58-46 road dub over Frazee on Friday. 2-0 Breckenridge continues their five-game road stretch to open the season with a 7:30 p.m. Tuesday game in Park Rapids.

Breckenridge Cowboys Basketball

The Breckenridge Cowboys opened up the season in Fergus Falls with an 83-38 loss on Friday. Beau Beyer led Breckenridge with 10 points. The Cowboys are back in action against section foe Battle Lake at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in their first home game.

North Dakota State College of Science Basketball

The North Dakota State College of Science basketball teams dominated on their home floor Sunday. The Lady Wildcats cruised to a 75-52 win over United Tribes Technical College and the men had a similar result at 72-50 against Williston State College. Quinn Neppl buried five triples on her way to 19 points and 13
rebounds. Savanna Jones and Michelle Arens also had double-doubles. Jones shared the team lead in rebounds with 13 and also had 16 points. Arens had 11 and 11. The Wildcat men got 17 from Aaron Williams Jr. and 16 off the bench from Ja’Quan Ingram. The Lady Wildcats play again tonight at 7 p.m. on the road
against Dawson Community College. The Wildcat men are on the road for their next game as well, facing off with Bismarck State College at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
