The Wahpeton boys basketball team cruised to a 96-85 road win over West Fargo Horace in their season opener on Tuesday. 

Caden Hockert scored 22 points while Caden Kappes poured in 19 points to lead the balanced back court attack. Junior Forward Jayden King followed with 18point. Senior Big Man Ethan Manock had this first  double-double of the season with 16 points and 15 rebounds along with a block. Sophomore Treyton Mauch scored 11 off the bench to round out a great offensive showing in game one. 

The Huskies finished the strong offensive showing at 72 percent from the field.

Next up for the Huskies is a 7:15 p.m. Friday home game against Valley City.
