The Breckenridge Cowboys saw its season come to an end on Saturday at Warroad in a 62-58 loss to Warroad in the Minn. Section 8AA quarterfinals.

Breckenridge, the No. 3 seed from the south, ended at 13-7 in the shortened season.

The Cowboys and Warriors, seeded second in the north, led by as many as five points in the first and trailed by two at the break.

Warroad built an 8-point lead in the second half before Breckenridge closed within a single possession late in the game. Warroad put the game away with enough free throws.

Cooper Yaggie led the Cowboys with 18 points.

Junior Perez added 15 points, all on five 3-pointers, while Jordan Christensen scored nine points and Anthony Conzemius with eight.
