Breckenridge senior Daniel Erlandson advanced to the Minnesota State Wrestling Tournament at 220 pounds by winning the Section 5A-6A super regional on Saturday.

Erlandson, now 26-1 this season, won all three of his matches Saturday.

The senior pinned Spencer Eisenbraun in 2:54 in the quarterfinals before beating Benson’s Alden Syltie 8-1 in the semifinals.

Erlandson faced Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale-Parker Prairie’s James Grant in the championship match and came away with an 8-3 decision win.

The Class AA state wrestling tournament will be March 25-27.
