The Kindred Vikings outscored the Oak Grove Grovers 22-9 in the final quarter for a 65-51 win in the N.D. Class B Region 1 boys basketball championship in Fargo Thursday.

The Vikings advance to the state tournament for the first time since 2003.

In other region championships Thursday:

Grafton topped North Border 46-40 in Region 2

Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier beat Linton-HMB 46-28 in Region 3

Four Winds-Minnewaukan handled Langdon Area 57-39 in Region 4

Shiloh Christian won Region 5 by beating Flasher 66-57

Rugby topped Bottineau 58-45 in Region

Dickinson Trinity held off Beulah 61-53 in Region 7

Powers Lake outlasted White Shield 48-34 in Region 8.The Class B state tournament pairings will be announced this weekend.
