The Breckenridge Cowgirls opened the second half with a 16-3 run on their way to a 54-37 home win over Perham on Tuesday.

Breckenridge led 26-21 after the first half as both teams hit from deep five times before the halftime buzzer.

Carcie Materi continued her strong streak, knocking down four triples on her way to a team-high 16 points. Jude Held followed with 15.

The Cowgirls dominated both ends in the second half as the Yellowjackets couldn’t find their stroke from deep.

It was Breckenridge’s first win over Perham in two years after losing three times to the Yellowjackets last year, including a playoff defeat.

The 6-2 Cowgirls hit the road Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Pelican Rapids Vikings.
