Talor Lee Wolfswinkel, a 32-year-old Campbell, Minnesota man, allegedly threatened his neighbors with a shotgun after chasing their dog off his property.
According to a May 17 criminal report, the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence located on the 600 block of 6th Street in Campbell to check on a dispute between neighbors. The alleged victim reported that Talor Lee Wolfswinkel threatened them with a shotgun after their dog wandered onto his property.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with Wolfswinkel, who was reportedly cleaning firearms on his deck. He admitted to chasing the neighbor’s dog off his property armed with a shotgun and also admitted to racking the weapon while pursuing the animal.
Wolfswinkel reportedly agreed that his neighbors could’ve deemed his behavior threatening.
Deputies spoke with the victims, who said their dog was on the property line when they called for it to come back. That’s when Wolfswinkel allegedly approached them holding a shotgun. According to the complaint, Wolfswinkel held the firearm at hip level, pointing it at one of the victims and racking it multiple times.
Following a verbal exchange, Wolfswinkel went to his residence. He reportedly came back to his deck holding what the neighbors thought was an AR-15 rifle. The victims told law enforcement they feared for their safety.
When a deputy returned to speak with Wolfswinkel, he was sitting on his back deck cleaning a pistol and subsequently placed under arrest. Wolfswinkel is charged with assault in the second degree (dangerous weapon) and terroristic threats (reckless disregard risk).
