Cowgirls drain 11 threes in 70-36 win at Barnesville

The Breckenridge Cowgirls earned a Heart O’ Lakes Conference sweep of Barnesville with Tuesday’s 70-36 road win over the Trojans. The Cowgirls are now 16-7 overall and 9-4 in conference play. The Trojans dropped to 6-13 overall and 4-10 in the conference.

The Cowgirls caught fire from three on 11-of-18 shooting. Overall, Breckenridge shot 51 percent from the field.

Breckenridge was led by 15 points from Parker Yaggie and 14 from Emily Gowin, with the latter draining 4 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc. Yaggie added a game-high nine rebounds and four steals.

Johnica Bernotas recorded nine points and a game-high five assists. Ava Jaehning added seven points and three steals, while Mariah Koltes and Sienna Fobb scored six points each.
