Wildcats go 4-0 at home, Gette posts 11-steal double-double

The NDSCS basketball teams swept Bottineau on Sunday in a dominant home matinee for the Wildcats program. 

Game one featured a 93-51 win for the Lady Wildcats, led by 28 points and 17 rebounds from sophomore forward Maggie Westling. Lolo Carlow added 19 points and four steals.

Game two featured a 98-64 win for the Wildcat men, led by five NDSCS players in double figures. Jekany Deang scored a team-high 17 points while hitting four threes. Cham Okey had 14 points and 10 rebounds while Nidas Paulauskas scored 14.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 17-3 on Monday with a 95-29 home drubbing of M-State Fergus Falls. Westling posted 25 points and 12 rebounds, Carlow scored 15 points and Peyton Gette posted an incredible defensive double-double with 14 points and 11 steals.

Marta Iborra was also in double-figures with 11 points.

The Wildcat men defeated M-State Fergus Falls in the nightcap by a score of 87-62. It was another well-rounded showing with four NDSCS players in double figures. John Angau led the scoring effort with 16 points, followed by Okey (15), Christensen (13) and Christos Gavrilidis (11).

Okey led the assist column with five followed by Jack Repscher with four. Deang posted a game-high 12 rebounds to help NDSCS improve its record to 19-3.

James Hamilton led the Spartans with a game-high 20 points.
