The Wahpeton Lady Huskies topped Central Cass in a 54-48 road win Tuesday.
The victory moved Wahpeton’s season record to 3-4 and the Huskies’ Region 1 mark to 2-1, one game behind the region’s top spot held by Valley City and Oak Grove.
Claire Woods went for 21 points, including a pair of threes in the first quarter. The sophomore was clutch in the second half, making all five of her free-throw attempts.
Eighth grade phenom Piper Nelson scored nine of her 16 points in the opening quarter.
Ashlynne Max scored eight points. Grace Falck and Ella Langenwalter scored four points apiece.
