Cowboys torch Tigers in section road win

The Breckenridge Cowboys ran their unbeaten streak to six games Tuesday after handing the Rothsay Tigers just their second loss of the season. Breckenridge led from start to finish in a dominant 74-37 road win against its Section 6A counterpart.

Cooper Roberts stuffed the stat sheet for the Cowboys. The senior point forward generated 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals while shooting 56 percent from the field. Senior guard Aidan Sanchez supplied 16 points and five assists on 50 percent shooting.

Senior shooting guard Charlie Kratcha had a breakout game from downtown, burying a quartet of three-pointers on his way to a season-high 14 points.

Senior forward Levi Christensen led the interior effort with eight points and eight rebounds, treating fans to a pair of highlight-reel hop steps in the first half.

Avery Smith and Joel Lopez added five points apiece and combined for eight steals.
