Big changes came in both polls in Class A, but number one teams were unchanged in the Class B rankings, as released Wednesday by the North Dakota Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association.
Turtle Mountain has made the top of the Class A girls poll. The Braves improved to 4-0 with wins over previously ranked Carrington and Harvey-Wells County. Valley City, who lost to LaMoure-Litchville/Marion in the championship game of the Barnes County Tournament, fell two spots to number three.
Devils Lake moved to number one in the Class A boys poll. The Firebirds are 3-0 with wins over AA teams Grand Forks Red River and Jamestown.
Girls Class B is still led by Benson County, who has started 6-0 and has 10 straight wins dating back to the end of last season. LaMoure-Litchville/Marion stays second and received one first-place vote.
Our Redeemer’s, as they did in the preseason rankings, tops the Class B boys poll.
