The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Blades are still looking for their first win of the campaign after a 6-4 loss to Crookston on Tuesday.
Crookston jumped ahead 2-0 through one period after even strength goals by Tate Hamre and Jay Reese. The Pirates tacked on two more in the second, but the Blades scored two of their own off the sticks off Brennan Ritter and Jack Ekren.
Both squads traded goals again in the final period. Fischer and Reese lit the lamp for the second time, and the duo of Easton Neppl and Josh Hofman found the net for Breckenridge-Wahpeton.
Luke Craig, Kai McDonald, Josh Hofman, Kamden Spinks, Aiden Jacobson and Jaxson Lopez (2) had assists for the Blades.
Blades goalie Cale Gilbertson stopped 27 of 33 shots on goal. Brady Chandler logged the win between the pipes with 35 saves on 39 shots.
The Blades travel to Morris/Benson Area on Thursday.
