The Breckenridge Cowgirls fell to 0-2 on Saturday after losing their home opener to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, 60-51.
The Cowgirls held a one-point halftime lead, but sputtered down the stretch against a sharp-shooting Rebels squad that also received 15 points in the paint from Aria Garrett. Greta DeVries led the backcourt with 15 points and Danielle Boyd ripped down a game-high 14 rebounds.
Breckenridge senior Parker Yaggie led all scorers for the second straight game with 24 points, going 7 of 10 from the field and 9 of 10 at the charity stripe. Emily Gowin joined Yaggie in double figures with 10 points and Johnica Bernotas scored eight in her season debut.
The Cowgirls are back in action with another Heart O’ Lakes Conference home game Tuesday against Pelican Rapids.
