
Defending state champion Century, Thompson, and Linton-Hazelton/Moffit/Braddock top the rankings in the first North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association volleyball polls, released Tuesday.
Century, which won the program’s 10th state title in 2024 in Class A, is now in Class AA, as volleyball has joined basketball in moving to a three-class system. The Patriots, 8-0 through Monday, were the unanimous top choice.
Thompson received 10 of the 12 first-place votes in Class A, with 2024 Class B finalist South Prairie-Max receiving the other two. Carrington and Valley City received votes.
Linton-HMB gained 11 of the 12 top votes in Class B, with the other to South Heart. Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier and New Rockford-Sheyenne received votes.
