Wildcats finish regular season with 12-0 win

The North Dakota State College College of Science baseball team split a home doubleheader with Alexandria Community & Technical College on Wednesday. Alexandria took game one, 9-4, and the Wildcats dominated the next contest, 12-0.

Game one was highlighted by a pair of homers in the Legends lineup, as Connor Davis and Cooper Dack left the confines of John Randall Field.

Steve Heber earned the win on the hill. Heber worked six innings and consistently generated weak contact, benefiting from several fly balls over the infield. The righty scattered five hits and five walks. He threw 109 pitches and registered one strikeout.

NDSCS piled up 10 hits in the second game and played error-free baseball to win its regular season finale. 

Tori Uhlich set the table in a 2-for-3 performance which included a triple, two RBIs and three additional runs scored. Skyler Fields and Ryan Loewe mashed in the middle of the order, combining for five hits and six RBIs.

Hudson Ver Steeg (Vair Stag) was excellent on the bump, earning the win during a five-inning complete-game. The freshman allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four in a 73-pitch shutout.

NDSCS heads into the upcoming region tournament with a 13-25 record. Alexandria Community & Technical College holds a 22-12 record.
