
The Wahpeton Lady Huskies had their season come to an end with a 79-64 loss to Fargo North at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex on Thursday.
The Huskies had a one-point lead at halftime but couldn’t slow down the Spartans’ offense in the second period as North outscored Wahpeton 48-32.
For the second game in a row, a Wahpeton player hit the 1,000-point mark as senior McKena Koolmo entered the game needing 11 and finished with a team-high 19.
Emma Bontjes went for 15 points in her final game as a Wahpeton basketball player as well.
Sophomores Scout Woods and Halle Miller also hit double digits with 12 and 10, respectively. Woods led the rebounding effort with eight one game after scoring her 1,000th point.
Arden Faulkner hit five of her six field goals from beyond the arc to lead the Spartans with 21 points.
Olivia Hammes had a double-double in the win with 13 points and 10 boards.
The Huskies end their season with a record of 15-9.
