
The Wahpeton Lady Huskies fell in their East Region Tournament opener on the road against West Fargo on Tuesday by a score of 91-63.
West Fargo built a 53-30 halftime lead with Miriley Simon leading the way with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
Scout Woods countered in the post for Wahpeton with 23 points and 11 rebounds, scoring her 1,000th point in the process. The Huskie sophomore was followed by seniors McKena Koolmo and Emma Bontjes with 14 and 12, respectively.
The Huskies look to keep their season alive with a 3:45 p.m. Thursday battle with Fargo North at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex. The Huskies two games to get back to the state tournament.
