Wahpeton Post 20 had a successful weekend going a perfect 3-0 in the Crookston tournament. Wahpeton started out with a 8-1 win over Worthington. Caden Hockert pitched a complete game, throwing seven innings and striking out six. Jackson Fliffet had two hits and an RBI in the win.
In game two, Wahpeton beat Bemidji’s junior legion team 6-3. Tori Uhlich was the lead off hitter during the weekend and capitalized hitting a two RBI triple in the second inning.
In the final game of the weekend, Wahpeton turned up the heat against the host team, beating Crookston 13-0 in four innings. Every starter recorded a hit in the win with Gavin Schoder and Fliffet leading the way, both going 3-4 and combining for five RBIs and three runs.
Next up for Wahpeton is a home game tomorrow, Tuesday, against Devils Lake.
