The Wahpeton girls basketball team advanced to the East Region Tournament with a 75-67 home win over Valley City in the EDC Play-In Game on Saturday.
Scout Woods went off for 30 points in the victory. The freshman also pulled down 13 boards.
Three other players hit double figures for Wahpeton. Lidia Motl went for 11 with Emma Bontjes and Aiyana Allard each chipping in with 10.
Wahpeton is 10-12 and moves on to face second-seeded West Fargo Sheyenne at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in West Fargo.
