Lady Wildcats softball team advances to district tournament

The North Dakota State College of Science softball team swept Dakota College at Bottineau on Saturday to win the NJCAA Division 3 conference tournament.
NDSCS won 17-1 in 5 innings and 7-5.
NDSCS pitcher Demi Uffelman got the win in the first game, giving up 1 run while striking out 5.
Maxine Ebel led the offense with three hits, including a home run, and drove in 8 runs.
In the series clincher, the Lady Wildcats scored 3 times in the bottom of the sixth for their 7-5 lead.
Josie Buhr and Jayante Kotila each drove in 2 runs.
The Lady Wildcats advance to the  NJCAA Division III North Plains District Championships May 20-22 in Cambridge, Minnesota May 20-22.
