Strand named new superintendent for Breckenridge schools

The Breckenridge School Board on Thursday announced it has hired Brad Strand as the school’s new superintendent.
Strand was picked over Daniel Ludvigson, who was the second finalist for the positition out of a group of four picked to interview for the opening.
The school board made the decision on Strand shortly after interviewing both Strand and Ludvigson on Wednesday.
Strand is currently an administrator for the Kennedy Secondary School in Fergus Falls and will start his duties this summer.
He replaces Diane Cortes, who is retiring after this school year.
The vote to hire Strand was unanimous by the school board.
