The Wahpeton-Breckenridge gymnastics team started the season on Tuesday at Jamestown. The W-B team scored 121.35 points to lose to the Blue Jays by 18 points.
For the locals, Quinn Bassingthwaite placed in the top 9 in all four events to finish in seven in the all-around with 32,3 points. Bassingthwaite was fourth in the vault at 8.8, fifth on the floor at 8.7, seventh on the beam at 7.6 and ninth on the bars at 7.2.
Also for W-B, Abbie Skovholt won the vault with a score of 9.05 and also took fourth in the bars at 7,85 to finish 8th in the all-around with 31.15 points.
Wahpeton-Breckenridge will host an invitational today (Thursday) at 6 p.m. at Three Rivers Gymnastics. You can see a live video stream of the event at kbmwnews.com.
