Minn. Governor Tim Walz’s executive order on Wednesday gave Minnesota high schools some working dates to begin the season with.

Boys and girls basketball, boys and girls hockey and wrestling can all begin practicing on Monday, Jan. 4.

A Minnesota State High School League scheduling model now means that teams can begin games the week of Jan. 11, with exact dates to be determined.

The end of all winter sports has also been pushed back by the MSHSL.
