U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao announced that the Trump Administration will award more than $1.2 billion in airport safety and infrastructure grants through the Federal Aviation Administration to 405 airports in 50 states and six U.S. territories.

Ten airports in North Dakota will receive funds for various projects, including Harry Stern Airport in Wahpeton.

Harry Stern Airport will receive $167,00 to rehabilitate an apron.

Bismarck Municiparl Airport will receive the biggest amount in the state at just over $12 million for general improvements. Dickinson’s Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport to get $10.7 million to extend a runway and Hector International Airport in Fargo will get $7 million to expand an apron and update a snow removal equipment building.
