Even after a stunning loss, there was not the first big change of the season in the AA basketball polls.
Century remained on top of the boys poll, released Monday by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association, even after a loss on Friday. Minot’s girls stay number one, as they also have been all season.
Century’s 32-game winning streak, which included 17 wins to begin this season, was snapped on Friday with a 57-52 loss at Legacy. The Patriots received 10 first place votes. Bismarck High, second in the poll, garnered six first-place votes and only four total points fewer than Century.
After struggling their way through a 62-50 win at Jamestown last Tuesday, the Minot girls ran past Minot North Friday 97-56 to improve to 18-0.
