Blades score six goals in Senior Night shutout

The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Blades halted their two-game losing skid Thursday with a dominant 6-0 home win vs. Wadena-Deer Creek on Senior Night. 

The Blades consistent attack yielded two goals in each period. Gracin Kaste earned Essentia Health Player of the Game with two goals, while Matt Petersen, Isaiah Bruechert, Charlie Ekren and Easton Neppl scored one goal each. 

Jaxson Lopez had the keys to the offense with a game-high three assists. Neppl, Bruechert and Michael Petersen added one assist each. 

Cale Gilbertson was solid between the pipes in a 13-save shutout. 

The Blades outshot the Wolverines 44-13 and improved to 10-10-1.
