The Wahpeton Huskies (6-4) picked up another quality win on their resume Saturday, handing the Breckenridge Cowboys (11-1) their first loss of the season. The 59-53 victory in the annual Border Battle at North Dakota State College of Science was sparked by 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists from sophomore forward Treyton King.
King, who entered the game averaging seven points, helped the Huskies mount an eight-point halftime lead with 11 in the opening stanza. He went to work inside and delivered several crafty finishes against a talented Breckenridge interior.
Levi Christensen (5) had one of his best offensive games for Breckenridge

The Cowboys received solid paint production from senior Levi Christensen, who matched King’s game-high output with 17 points of his own. Christensen scored with both hands at the block, showcasing an ambidextrous touch down low.
Brayden Steffens supplied 14 points for the Huskies and Jack Gilbertson added 12. Cooper Roberts scored 14 for the Cowboys and Aidan Sanchez added 12.
