Cooper Roberts sinks a free throw to start the scoring Thursday
The Breckenridge Cowboys won their 11th straight game Thursday, topping Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 59-43 in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference road win.
The Cowboys (11-0, 6-0 HOL) were led by 16 points and 10 rebounds from senior point forward Cooper Roberts. The Rebels (7-5, 4-4 HOL) were led by a game-high 19 points from junior guard Quincy Cox.
Breckenridge junior Aidan Sanchez had 12 points to go along with seven rebounds. Levi Christensen scored five points but made his living on the glass with 10 rebounds. The senior forward also swiped three steals. Connor Ernst put the Cowboys up early with seven of his nine points coming in the first half.
Avery Smith led the Breckenridge defense with a game-high four steals.
The Cowboys play the back half of the annual Border Battle against Wahpeton. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at North Dakota State College of Science. Listen to the game on B 92.7 FM and watch on KBMW News Live YouTube.
