Michael Douglas Jr. celebrates a touchdown against Rochester

North Dakota State College of Science sophomore running back Michael Douglas Jr. has been named the 2025 NJCAA Division III Football Offensive Player of the Year, the NJCAA announced this week.
Douglas Jr. delivered a dominant sophomore campaign for the Wildcats, establishing himself as the premier offensive player in NJCAA Division III. Appearing in 13 games, he finished the 2025 season leading the nation in rushing yards (1,208), rushing yards per game (100.7) and rushing touchdowns (13). His consistency, vision and explosiveness made him a weekly focal point for opposing defenses.
In a banner showing against Minnesota West, Douglas Jr. carried the ball 28 times for 290 yards and four touchdowns. He also earned First-Team All-MCAC honors and was a First-Team NJCAA Division III All-American pick for his sophomore season.
