The Breckenridge Cowboys broke loose after a slow start in their home/season opener Friday, using a 29-5 run to beat Frazee, 69-53.

Junior guard Aidan Sanchez paced the Cowboys with 18 points.

Senior point forward Cooper Roberts closed with 14 points, seven assists and seven rebounds. He highlighted the first half with a two-handed dunk in the open court.

Junior guard/forward Connor Ernst knocked down four triples for all 12 of his points and senior shooting guard Charlie Kratcha scored nine from behind the arc.

The freshman duo of Paxton Yaggie and Brock Summerville saw solid minutes and contributed on both sides of the basketball, with Yaggie hitting a three to open the second half and Summerville orchestrating the offense throughout the game with eight points and six assists.

Sophomore Hunter Bogenreif swatted three shots on defense.
