During a week with limited Mon-Dak Conference games, the women’s basketball player of the week is 5-foot-10 sophomore Maggie Westling of NDSCS.
During the Lady Wildcats’ lone game of the week, Westling was 10 of 14 from the field and scored 23 points. The center added 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block. Westling is from Milaca, Minnesota, where she attended Milaca High.
The men’s basketball player of the week also hails from NDSCS. Luke Christensen, a 6-foot-11 sophomore, was electric in the Wildcats’ only game of the week.
Christensen was 8 of 12 from the field and scored 24 points. He added 11 rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks. Christensen is from Breckenridge, Minnesota, and he attended Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls.
