Wildcat men top 100 points again, NDSCS sweeps Central Lakes

The North Dakota State College of Science basketball teams swept Central Lakes in Saturday’s road doubleheader at Brainerd, Minnesota.

The Lady Wildcats opened the day with a 72-47 win over the Raiders, led by 23 points, 10 rebounds and four assists from Maggie Westling. Ava Boyes added 21 points and Lolo Carlow dropped 18 as the Wildcat women improved to 8-2 on the season.

The Wildcat men followed up with a 102-88 victory, led by 24 points and 11 rebounds from reigning Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Week Luke Christensen. John Angau added 19 points and six rebounds, while Cham Okey and Nidas Paulauskas scored 15 each and combined to pull down 15 boards. 

The Wildcat men are 9-1 and scoring 101.6 points per game on 50 percent shooting.

The NDSCS teams travel to Ridgewater on Tuesday for a 5:30/7:30 doubleheader on either B 92.7 FM or AM 1450 KBMW, schedule depending.
