The North Dakota State College of Science volleyball team picked up its 11th and 12th consecutive wins during a Sunday sweep to put the finishing touches on homecoming.
NDSCS toppled Central Lakes by scores of 25-16, 25-11 and 25-22, before dismantling Dakota State JV by scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-23.
The Wildcats trailed late in three of the six sets played Sunday, but found a way to claw back and improve their season record to 14-4.
Kenzy Beare led NDSCS with 10 kills against Central Lakes, while adding a team-high four block assists. Tessa Jacobson and Samara Clemente followed with nine kills apiece and Chloe Fuller added eight.
Quinn Kost dominated the passing effort with 40 of 43 assists for the Wildcats. Sheridan Brown anchored the defensive side with nine digs in the back row.
Jacobson came alive against Dakota State, ratcheting up a match-high 17 kills. Beare was also on fire with 13 kills of her own. Kost was the set-up machine once again, recording 40 assists for the second straight match.
Sydni Roberts was the defensive star against Dakota State with 13 digs and several hustle plays that kept the volley alive and led to NDSCS points.
