Wildcats score 61 points in first half of homecoming win

The No. 2-ranked North Dakota State College of Science football team had a banner homecoming game Saturday, blowing Vermillion away by a score of 71-6. The Wildcats led 61-0 at the half, putting up nearly 400 yards of offense and forcing six turnovers in the first 30 minutes.

NDSCS ran the football 36 times for 252 yards and completed 10 of 14 passes for 220 yards and four touchdowns. The Wildcats also took an 82-yard kick return for six.

The 6-0 Wildcats have a key week seven matchup at Central Lakes. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. on B 92.7 FM.
