Cowgirls beat Barnesville in four sets

The Breckenridge volleyball team got back on track Thursday with a 3-1 road win at Barnesville. Set scores favored the Cowgirls 25-16, 25-17, 19-25, 25-19.

Kaitlyn Kaehler and Sienna Fobb led the Cowgirl attack with 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Chasity Hanson added nine kills while leading the team with 20 digs.

Kaehler and Jozie Wienbar recorded 18 digs apiece, while Parker Yaggie and Johnica Bernotas added 15 and 14, respectively, as four Cowgirls recorded double-doubles in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference victory.

Fobb continued her deterrence at the net with a match-high eight total blocks. Piper Jaehning was also a defensive presence with four blocks.

Bernotas had a stellar match in her setter position with 25 assists. Yaggie added to the passing effort with 13 assists.

Breckenridge is now 15-5 on the season as they approach section playoff time.
