The Wahpeton Lady Huskies golf team put up its best score of the season Wednesday at Maple River to finish the regular season, beating its previous low score of 358 by 11 strokes. Three girls finished in the 80s and the fourth score of 91 made for an excellent 347 team round.

Senior Claire Langenwalter was solid again with an 83. Claire has done a great job managing the golf course and putting herself into position to score each time out. She started the day with a double bogey, then bounced back with two pars and a birdie, recording two birdies and eight pars in total.

Sophomore Ella Langenwalter, like her sister, did a great job managing the course and had eight pars on the day. Ella only had one double bogey and her ability to avoid a big number led to a very good score today.

Sophomore Brooke Rosenberg has been playing her best golf the last couple weeks of the season and she put up a good score. Brooke played a great front nine with a 5-over-par 42. She ran into a little trouble at the end of her round but still managed two birdies on the day.

Sophomore Ava Schuler finally broke 100 today with a very nice 95. Ava is a new golfer and is seeing all of these courses for the first time. She has a solid golf swing and will compete for a varsity spot next season.

NEXT UP: East Region Tournament at Rose Creek on Monday, Sept. 22.
