
Langdon Area/Munich took over the number one spot in the 11A poll, while defending champion New Rockford/Sheyenne stayed atop the 9-man rankings, as released Wednesday by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association.
In 11A, the Cardinals moved to the top after a loss last week by previous number one Velva-Garrison-Drake-Anamoose. Langdon Area/Munich garnered 13 of the 16 first-place votes, with the other three belonging to Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm.
The 9-man-leading Rockets keep piling points up, with 128 in their first two games. NR/S had 12 first-place votes, with three for LaMoure-Litchville/Marion and one for Linton/Hazelton-Moffitt-Braddock/Strasburg-Zeeland.
